Waco Wetlands

If you have not been to the Waco Wetlands, it is worth the trip early in the morning or late in the afternoon. Call first, they do not seem to always be there.

I am anxiously awaiting exploring the wetlands in the fall when the birds have migrated south. I could hear the birds and frogs by the hundreds early in the morning, but seeing them was another story. They were smart enough to take shelter in the hundred degree heat. But, for the macro photographer, it was heaven. Everywhere you looked there was a dragonfly, a grasshopper or some other bug waiting to pose for his picture.
